Official says 67% of recoverable Russian oil resources profitable
MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- The Federal Mineral Resources Agency’s inventory reconciliation showed that 67% of recoverable Russian oil resources, or about 11.5 billion tonnes, are profitable, Deputy Director of the authority Orest Kasparov said at a session of the Russian Energy Week on Thursday.
“Inventory reconciliation produced the following results: 11.5 billion tonnes, or 67% of the technically recoverable resources, are profitable,” Kasparov said.
The Energy Ministry forecasts Russia’s oil output at 554–556 million tonnes in 2019.
Kasparov said that an inventory reconciliation report will be presented to the Finance Ministry, the Energy Ministry and the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry until December.
